Safe drive system in standard format 

When using dynamic linear motors, machine manufacturers were previously largely left to their own devices to ensure functional safety. Now, for the first time, a complete package is available that significantly simplifies this step for the user: LinMot has integrated safety features and some new additional functions directly into the motor and controller, while ensuring that the design is identical to existing products.

Functional Safety at GARDENA

Functional safety is of particular importance to the engineers at GARDENA. With the -2S option, the LinMot Drives offer an integrated, certified safety module in the same housing. 

Thanks to the high basic safety of LinMot -2S components, the safety doors of the systems can be opened when the motor is energized in order to teach positions or rectify faults. This not only makes processes safer, but also more convenient, both when troubleshooting and when commissioning production systems.
