LinmMot Product Overview
Linear motors
Not only the technical data are decisive, but also the economic advantages pay off: no changeover times, higher production outputs, no damage when approaching products, no provision of compressed air. Linear motors are easy-to-use, purely electric positioning drives that have been specially developed for flexible and highly dynamic positioning tasks that cannot be solved with pneumatic drives.

Linear guides
The high-precision shafts are guided in low-friction linear recirculating ball bearing and guideway assemblies or plain bearings. The plain bearing option is primarily used in applications where moisture (cleaning with water) or corrosion is expected and includes stainless shafts. Likewise, plain bearings should be used in applications with accelerations above 50 m/s².
The complete linear modules (H01 guide with LinMot linear motors) are highly dynamic, freely positionable design elements with a long service life. These modules are used in packaging technology, handling technology, in the construction of operating equipment as well as a variety of special machines.
The mounting dimensions are identical to the standard of pneumatic H-guides.
Servo Drives
LinMot Servo Drives are compact positioning controllers with integrated power output stage for controlling the linear motors. A powerful processor system ensures that the positions stored in the command table are approached precisely without delay. Thanks to the position sensors integrated in the linear motor, the drive is informed about the current position of the linear module at all times. The hardware of the LinMot Servo Drives also allows the connection of any single- or two-phase motors, such as LinMot linear motors, stepper motors, electromagnets, DC motors or voice coil motors, to operate mixed system configurations with one drive type.

MagSpring
To meet complex production requirements, safety regulations and sustainable processes, the space-optimized LinMot Flat Robots and Systems offer innovative, highly dynamic solutions in all areas of automation that are individually tailored to the customer's application.
These are passive components that require neither electricity nor compressed air. MagSprings are used parallel to linear motors in vertical applications, for example. They support the linear motor by balancing the weight of the load.
By using MagSprings, a significantly smaller linear motor can be used, as the motor only has to apply the actual movement force. If the force of the MagSpring is selected to be greater than the weight of the load mass, the load can be moved upwards to a safety position in the event of a power interruption.
Features
- Constant force
- Passive component (no power or compressed air)
- Forces up to 60 N
- Strokes up to 290 mm
Flat robots and systems
To meet complex production requirements, safety regulations and sustainable processes, the space-optimized LinMot Flat Robots and Systems offer innovative, highly dynamic solutions in all areas of automation that are individually tailored to the customer's application.
In LinMot ready-to-use flat robots and systems, LinMot linear motors, modules, guides and grippers are combined in a flexible modular system to form proven structures such as semi-gantry, gantry, pick-and-place or other multi-axis systems. This means that even the most complex industry and customer-specific requirements can be implemented quickly and precisely. At the same time, LinMot flat robots and systems remain extremely space-saving, with minimal disruption to contours, easy to maintain and individually scalable.
.
Features
- Dynamics & precision: High speed and repeat accuracy for positioning.
- Flexibility & design: Modular system enables customized configurations. Slim design, partly in stainless steel (PP13).
- Efficiency: Higher energy and cost efficiency compared to conventional kinematics.
- Use of space: Space-saving and low interference contours.

Electric grippers
LinMot's electric grippers are highly dynamic solutions for demanding pick-and-place, assembly, screwdriving and many other tasks.
In addition to fast closing and opening times, they allow free finger positioning and force control, which means that gripping movements can be individually adapted and made particularly gentle. In addition, the position of the gripper fingers is monitored via the linear motor, eliminating the need for external sensors and cables that interfere with rotation. LinMot grippers are also available in stainless steel for use in industries with high hygiene requirements, such as the pharmaceutical, food and chemical industries.
.
Features
- Dynamics & precision: Thanks to the direct drive (linear motor), the grippers are very fast and precise.
- Flexibility: Individual positioning of the fingers enables a wide variety of parts to be gripped.
- Force control: The gripping force is adjustable, which is particularly important for sensitive parts.
- Integrated security: The -2S Servo Drives offer functions such as STO, SS1, SS2, SOS, SLS and SBC/SBT.
- Hygiene: Stainless steel versions are available for the pharmaceutical, food and chemical industries.
